Child Dental Benefits Schedule at Courtney Dental

​Here at Courtney Dental we participate in The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) which provides basic dental services to children aged between 2 and 17 years. The CDBS lets you claim up to $1000 towards dental treatment. It’s aimed at families who are already receiving other benefits, such as Family Tax Benefit A payments.

Most people aren’t aware you have a choice to use your CDBS either publicly with the School Dental Service or privately at your family Dentist. We recommend not using the benefit at the school dental service.
Dental services covered by the CDBS include:

• examinations
• x-rays
• cleaning
• fissure sealing
• fillings
• root canals
• extractions
• partial dentures.

You can’t claim from both the CDBS and your private health insurance on the same dental service.
